In Yakage Town, there are old Japanese streetscapes. A unique feature is a device called 'ninja barriers,' designed to prevent the assassination of feudal lords. These devices, resembling lined-up swords, are placed on the roofs to block ninjas from passing.
Here are the directions from Okayama Station to Yakage Town:
By Train and Bus:
- Take the Hakubi Line (Sanyo Main Line) from Okayama Station to Kurashiki Station. The journey takes about 15 minutes.
- Transfer to the Ibara Railway at Kiyone Station and take it to Yakage Station. This takes about 40 minutes.
- Kiyone Station is written as 清音 in kanji.
